Found Object Brief

Our task was to buy an object from a charity shop for no more than £5. We then swapped our object with someone so that we all had something completely new and foreign to us.

We were asked to study the surface of the object (looking at its colour, its texture, the size, the weight, if it looks old or new) and explore different ways to graphically represent our object without showing the object itself.

I was given a broken Burrometer
The next part of our brief involved looking at the history of our object and the story it tells.

I descovered from my research that the aim of the manufacturer was "To design and create functional durable well priced products for the home and garden without compromising on style" My object was broken and originally cost £60 however it was bought for £4. My aim for the project was therefore, to try and create imagery that that showed that advertised a broken burrometer.
